Marquette General Cancer Center Nurses Earn SoCRA Certification

Marquette General Hospital is proud to announce that Cancer Research Department Registered Nurses Danielle Haanpaa and Stephanie Milner have passed the rigorous Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) Certification Exam.

This rigorous exam test professionals' knowledge of:

  • the foundations and principles of clinical research ethics;
  • the laws, regulations, guidance, and standard operating procedures and their application to regulated clinical research;
  • the responsibilities of sponsors, monitors, and investigators according to the principle of the International Conference of Harmonisation Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP) and the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR);
  • the regulations and guidance as they relate to informed consent, IRB/IECs and financial disclosure;
  • the principles of study design, study closure, and record retention;
  • safety reporting requirements; and
  • application of critical thinking skills in practical applications.

Congratulations to both Danielle and Stephanie on this impressive accomplishment.
