MCC Communications Tool Kit: Information You Can Use to Promote the MCC and the MCC Initiative
About the Tool Kit In an effort to increase the depth and breadth of knowledge about the Michigan Cancer Consortium within our state, members of the Consortium's Communications Subcommittee have developed the MCC Communications Tool Kit. The tool kit includes:
both video and Microsoft PowerPoint introductions to the Michigan Cancer Consortium and its MCC Initiative;
background information about the MCC and its activities;
key messages for new and existing MCC member organizations, potential funders, and policymakers; and
order forms for comprehensive cancer control materials.
The MCC encourages representatives of all MCC member and partner organizations to become part of the Consortium ’s sales and marketing force and use these materials to inform and inspire others about the MCC and to encourage them to join our efforts. This tool kit contains all the necessary information to help you explain the MCC to others, both within and outside your organization.
We encourage you to show the introductory video to your organization’s Board of Directors and senior management team, as well as to your co-workers and partner organizations. The more people who see the video, the more people will know about the MCC and the important work the Consortium's members do together. Our goal is to gain support that will sustain MCC’s momentum and engage more members in focused cancer control activities.
We ask that each time you show the video, you complete the MCC Video Viewing Fax Back Form located in Section 1 of the MCC Communications Tool Kit.
Thank you in advance for sharing the MCC's story with others. The heart of the MCC is organizations working together to control cancer in Michigan. The more that others know about and understand the MCC, the faster the Consortium can achieve its priorities and reduce the human and economic burden of cancer in Michigan. Together we are able to accomplish what no one of us could achieve alone.
