The Michigan Cancer Consortium (MCC) is comprised of a dedicated group
of public, private and voluntary organizations committed to reducing
the human and economic impact of cancer in Michigan.
Membership in the
MCC is open to organizations that have missions that are in line with
the MCC goals and special projects. To become a member of the MCC, an
organization must agree to:
endorse and support the implementation of
all MCC goals and special projects;
provide annual reports about
its progress and accomplishments;
vote on MCC governing activities;
coordinate and collaborate within its organization or with other
organizations to implement strategies that address one or more MCC
goals; and
have a significant presence in Michigan.
What Types of Organizations Can Belong?
Any of the following types of organizations may apply for
membership in the Michigan Cancer Consortium:
Health care insurance plans
Health education/health research and evaluation
Organizations representing or serving hard-to-reach and/or special populations
Health care purchasers;
Community-based health care delivery systems and practices with cancer programs
University-based health care delivery systems with cancer programs
