About the Program
The MCC Prostate Health Awareness Program consists of a one-hour slide show presented by trained volunteers to men and women in a community setting, using terms and elements that are explained in easy-to-understand, non-technical language. About the Tool Kit In March 2007, nearly 40 community health leaders and stakeholders participated in a training workshop to learn how to market, present and evaluate the program in their areas of the state. Workshop participants were encouraged to use the information to educate men and women in their communities about prostate health. The program has also been used to train community volunteers to present the program to additional audiences, thereby expanding the reach and impact of the program and its educational messages. This online tool kit contains electronic copies of all the materials distributed during the March 2007 training workshop.
