Michigan Colorectal Cancer Early Detection Program (MCRCEDP) The MCRCEDP is located in 38 Michigan counties and provides colorectal screening services to underserved men and women in an effort to prevent or detect colorectal cancer at its early, most treatable stage. The MCRCEDP provides colorectal cancer education, individualized risk assessment, patient navigation and screening to eligible 50- to 64-year-old men and women. Eligible MCRCEDP participants include men and women:
50-64 years old
At average or increased risk for colorectal cancer
Incomes that are at or below 250 percent of the federal poverty level; and are
Uninsured or underinsured.
The MCRCEDP is unable to accept any client as determined by MCRCEDP Guidelines to be at high risk for colorectal cancer due to personal history or family history (genetic syndromes). Clients who are symptomatic are not eligible for the MCRCEDP.
