“American Cancer Society Is Committed to the BCCCP and the Fight Against Colorectal Cancer”
Poster Description: Alpena General Hospital, the American Cancer Society, and District Health Departments # 2 and #4 Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Programs conducted free breast and cervical cancer screenings throughout five counties in northeastern Michigan during March and April 2004. The goal of the project was to target underserved, uninsured and underinsured residents of the region. In addition, Alpena General Hospital and the American Cancer Society distributed fecal occult blood test (FOBT) kits to the public during the month of March 2004 and to those who qualified at the breast and cervical cancer screenings.
