“Drawing Health Policy Implications for the State of Michigan Using Medicare and Medicaid Files, 1996-2000”
Poster Description: Understanding the incidence and prevalence and the appropriateness and the costs of care for breast, colorectal, lung, and prostate cancers delivered to Michigan citizens is critical in order to improve quality and target public and private resources toward prevention and effective treatment. This presentation opens an important dataset from Michigan to assess disparities and to explore possible roles for the MCC in addressing issues related both to sites of cancer and to socioeconomic differences that influence possible incidence and the treatments afforded to Michigan citizens.
