Michigan Colonoscopy Facility Guide

In June 2002, the American Cancer Society (ACS), Great Lakes Division Inc., released the first Michigan Colonoscopy Facility Guide, developed as a resource directory to help Michigan adults identify screening colonoscopy services in their communities.

Similar to the way in which the Michigan Mammography Guide was developed collaboratively by the ACS and the Michigan Peer Review Organization (now MPRO), developers of the Michigan Colonoscopy Facility Guide–2002 gathered information for the guide via written and phone surveys of Michigan endoscopy facilities. The Colorectal Cancer Professional Education Team, which was coordinated by ACS and comprised of representatives of MCC member organizations, provided technical advice and consultation throughout the development of the guide.

The Michigan Colonoscopy Facility Guide–2002
was distributed to members of the public, physician offices, ACS offices, and others upon request.
Organizers are in the planning stages for an updated version of the guide, and that will be posted here as soon as it becomes available.
