The following grant projects at Michigan State University have received funding from the MCC:
- Characteristics of Patients Who Enter Clinical Trials
Purpose: To survey patients on Phase II and Phase III clinical trials to determine if patients perceive that their psychosocial supportive care needs are more adequately met and addressed when they participated in clinical trials as compared to those who do not participate in clinical trials. In addition, this project will employ a model that examines the psychosocial dispositions of patients and seeks to determine if these differences affect decisions to participate directly in a clinical trial, and if the patient’s psychosocial disposition influences his/her perception of the supportive care they receive.
