WISEWOMAN/Body & Soul Lay Health Educators
The Genesee County Health Department, Michigan WISEWOMAN, and the American Cancer Society’s Body & Soul Program have come together for an exciting collaboration in Flint, Michigan. This pilot program works with Body & Soul Lay Health Educators to recruit eligible women into the Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP) and WISEWOMAN.
The Genesee County Health Department provides BCCCP and WISEWOMAN clinical screening services. Then the WISEWOMAN/Body & Soul Lay Health Educators provide the new WISEWOMAN participants with Lifestyle Counseling.
